The Chinese National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) has launched the “Micro-Drama with You for the New Year” initiative, unveiling the 2025 Spring Festival micro-drama lineup. This curated selection includes 63 high-quality titles available on both television and online platforms, offering a variety of viewing options for audiences.
Television viewers can tune in to major provincial channels to enjoy 14 selected dramas, such as Dragon Roars, Another Journey to the West, and Who Knew She Was the Noble Consort. Online audiences can access 49 micro-dramas like Happy Family, Lucky Mission, and Such a Small Matter on platforms including CCTV Video, Mango TV, iQIYI, Tencent Video, Douyin, and Kuaishou.
The lineup spans diverse genres, including rural, urban, romance, family, public security, and more, with styles ranging from suspense and comedy to sci-fi and fantasy. Notably, this is the first time television-exclusive micro-dramas have been included, signaling a significant step toward premiumization and expanded accessibility.
During the Spring Festival, micro-dramas will bring a vibrant and diverse visual feast to audiences nationwide, making them a delightful companion for celebrating the holiday season on both TV screens and mobile devices.
